Mother of God, The day has finally arrived...

I woke up this morning with a particularly joyful pep in my step...why you may ask?? Today was the last freaking day of school!!! Can I just say that this day came so quickly, not too long ago I was bragging about a mere 85 days of school left and look...my countdown is ova!!! WHOOOO HOOOOO...considering my blogging hiatus, let me take a few steps back and catch you up...

So, in about April, I had a moment when I realized that I actually like my students! Granted there were still a few boogers I could do without, me di cuenta que I liked/loved enough of them to make such a generalization!!! (In case you have forgotten, initially I kicked myself in the ass everyday I had to go to work and every moment I thought about work..see previous posts for a refresher) In all honestly, I don't know what happened or how it happened but I have thanked God everyday after that prolific moment in April...I started to care so much for the well being of my former devils that I committed to another year with them. Yes, that means I agreed to not only another year on this tropical paradise, but I agreed to LOOP with my kiddos. (For those of you non educators, that means I will be moving up to 4th grade with my current students!!!) Hahahahhaha, CrAzY, I know!!!! But in all fairness, I spent about 8 out of 10 months doing a half ass job simply because my job was hell....kids were basically on crack! Anywho, I figured I owed it them and to myself to make up for lost time.....I have great things planned for next year and I cannot wait to get the ball rolling...after a well deserved summer vacay of course!!!!!!!

And that my friends brings me back to, today. A day filled with Computer Final exam, tears, laughter, and gifts!! I'll share lessons learned and memeorable moments later for now I am just gonna bask in the fact that this year from hell is over!!!!! School's out for summa....School's out foreva!!!!
